Going to a different retailer is one way to voice your dissatisfaction.
Another, would be to complain directly to the top brass. Since Sam Walton "left the building", W-M has been sliding down the slope of decline in quality and service.
The Walmart in west Mississauga was icky ten years ago too. This isn't a recession issue. The whole atmosphere in the store has always been depressing. I don't bother complaining to businesses. I just move on.

Yes lets tax them out of business. Its a proven fact that government meddling in the marketplace always improves the economy, right?

The link to the article in the OP doesn't work for me. Thus far, I've read nothing here which leads me to believe the story is accurately told.

I don't know about the States, but here it depends by province or if you're working on the federal level. Some places it's 44 hours in a week before overtime kicks in and some places it's 40 hours and some places anything over 8 hours in one day.

Private businesses are not responsible for what happens to their employees when they leave work. It is not their problem to make sure they get tucked into bed at night.

Doesn't Think4Yourself thinks WM has millions of brain surgeons working for them who would be making $500k apiece who have been kidnapped, forced to work for $10.27 per hour on average. That all of us are paying for that mistake they made in underestimating their Fair Market Value. Maybe if we all use enough drugs we'd come to the same conclusion.
