I don't understand the outrage. I don't agree with the verdict, but what are people demanding from our government?
I agree, what will it be based on, race ?
Zimmerman is partially Black from his mom's side, a simple DNA test would prove this. Then it would be like Chicago or Detroit with it's sky high Black on Black crime and no one is prosecuting those based on race.
This is due to the Racist policies of that incompetent TOOL Obama and he should be impeached for this and his many other overt failures and illegal moves.
Have you reviewed those instructions, and analyzed them from a legal perspective? Has the issue of jury instructions been raised by people in the "know"?
If a defendant's lie tends to help his case, score it in minus numbers to the degree of its effect.
Don't forget to add all the minuses for the cumulative verdict.
They're probably looking at this as a violation of civil rights or First Amendment constitutional rights, or that Martin's rights to due process might have been compromised by an investigation bungled?
It may well end up being a fishing expedition for feds, but it is probably healthy to do it, after all, we all cherish our rights to due process of law and hope investigations are done properly and without bias.
They do need to have a national day of action. Where they get together and decide what actions they're gonna take to start cleaning up the neighborhoods.
I mean come on at this point Trayvon is dead, the trial is over, it is REALLY time to move on and start focusing on the ones that are still alive. This is the time for parents to sit down with their kids and say "do you see how what you post online can be used against you? Even if you were joking; even if you were quoting lyrics from a song; even if you are re-tweeting someone else's comments people who don't know you will make this your character."
This is time for parents to sit down and talk to their kids about drugs. This is the time for parents to talk to their kids about guns and violence. This is the time for parents to talk to their kids about what to do if they perceive they are in danger or something is unusual. This is the time for parents to explain to their kids how their choices come with consequences, especially when they're in their late teens and approaching adulthood. This is the time to explain that times have changed, technology is not forgiving of growing pains.
This isn't the time to be marching around protesting.
Great Post - what you suggest (and I agree) would take "work". It's a lot easier to just call for people to go to the streets and "protest".
Times have changed, I've never been able to understand why the Al Sharptons of the world and their followers refuse to accept that.

Well the NAACP is against any black person being killed. Well, let me take that back. 93% of blacks killed were killed by other blacks. They don't care about that. They just get involved when a black person was killed by a white guy or even a person they can stretch to be a white guy, even if it was obviously self defense.
In sane times (i.e. Before Obama), the justice department would see it as an obvious self defense case and let the state handle it. This justice department, while not able to find anything after sifting through evidence for a year, will take the case though because Eric Holder is at least as racist as the NAACP.
