Why don't the cops clean up the gangs first instead of wasting 8 mill on maps nobody will follow? Or just give the kids guns so they can fight back? Oops can't do that in chicago.
It has gotten this bad in the windy city? No wonder kids don't want to go to school there. They have to plan for the return of children to school like they did for the NATO conference? What the hell is going on in that city? Oh wait never mind democrats have been in control for years. The transformation has occurred in Detroit and Chicago is not far behind.
"Chicago Public Schools officials today released maps of routes where security will be provided for the thousands of children going to new schools this year.
The so-called "safe passage" routes are designed to smoothly shift students from 47 schools being closed this year to nearby schools. (Click HERE to see maps)
Parents have voiced concern about children crossing rival gang territories and passing empty buildings and vacant lots. Some of them have complained that CPS has been late releasing the maps.
Training for safe passage workers, originally targeted by CPS for this week, is now set to begin next Thursday.
CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett said the maps are being mailed to every student affected by closings as well as being posted on district’s website.
“They are not embedded in stone,” she said. “It’s a daily communication, daily opportunity. Where we know there may be an incident, we trust the Chicago police department and our safety and security to make sure we are informed and updated regularly.”
Police Supt. Garry McCarthy said the same police unit that planned for NATO is planning for the back to school week when students from 47 closed elementary schools will be walking to designated neighborhood schools. He said police will be patrolling the routes. District commanders will have specific plans for each route."
Oh I see. So reacting to violence by trying to give some sort of plan or guidance is, what....bulls**t? If this didn't happen, there'd be complaining about the children. So, they're taking action in whatever form they can & still the b*tching? Amazing. People won't be happy until when exactly?
Well the cops can't seem to protect em. The old standby of calling 911 aint doing any good. What do you suggest? There are kids carrying guns doing the killing and drug dealing and robbing. Gotta fight back somehow or just lay and wait for your number to come up I guess.

Maybe they should STOP the violence??? Nah that takes too much work and would cut back on the plethora of kickbacks the dirty cops and politicians continue to receive. All for the children..........lol

Did I say that they should or should not stop the violence? No, I don't believe I did. That's a given. Obviously, stopping the violence is a priority. Anyone who would think otherwise is ridiculous. However, in the meantime, perhaps having a game plan?
