I could care less if it is legal or illegal, I don't use it. I do think there is a need for medical marijuana and I don't condemn a person for using it. To make it legal, it will still be banned in the work place as is alcohol. We ended prohibition on alcohol because all it did was to make criminals, then the government decided to tax it, the same with pot, legalize it and tax it.

JESUS CHRIST, THIS AGAIN!!!! Look I'm no advocate for driving under the influence of cannabis, but let's face it I'd say that more people die from drunk drivers, and drivers texting! At any rate, like driving drunk, the same penalties should apply with cannabis! You kill someone because you're too dumb to call a cab, or have a designated driver, then you go to jail! The bottom line here is prohibition has been proven to be a failure.

You are much more likely to crash a car under the influence of alcohol than marijuana.

That is the one reason it may not be legal. How do you tell if someone is under the influence of marijuana? Drug tests will be positive for weeks after smoking. I am not sure they have any way of determining if you are under the influence at the time or if you smoked a week ago. Maybe they do have a way, but I have never heard of it

While the THC molecule tends to cling to your fat cells, it does not mean one is under the influence. The intoxicating effects of cannabis wear off in 1 to 3 hours. It's just another lie that they hide behind to continue with prohibition.

True. The problem is that there is no accurate road test to detect those who are driving under the influence of drugs. There is one for alcohol, but not for drugs. In court the druggies will argue that the effects had already worn off, although the drug was still present in their system. In many cases this would be true, which complicates it even further.

On this issue, it's been Liberal thought, too. I'm glad there are places where we overlap.

I'm glad the tide is turning. What a waste of breath and money fighting legalization has been.

i had a difficult time finding any information on Ted Cruz's stance about this issue.. but per the houston chronicle, Ted Cruz doesn't support the legalization of cannabis.

Legalize or keep it illegal - it's a non issue for people who don't use drugs.
Uhh, no. A lot of misery and pain has been caused by the war on drugs. And that affects everyone.
