I linked to a source. You didn't.

Most of the people I've talked with who hate unions are low income earners who deep down are jealous that someone is in a better labor situation than they are.

In terms of the free market, it only exists in theory. There are always distortions to it and unionized labor is one among them. That said, the net implications of unions haven't historically been a bad thing. There are plenty of benefits that people have at their jobs that are there either because they work for a union or employers try to keep employees happy because there are unions.

I've also seen unions say they'll help but forget about you. Happened to my dad when he got hurt and put on social security disability.

After watching the public sector unions in WI riot I don't see anything positive about unions.

Without unions workers rights' will be pushed back further and further, in fact it's already happened.

Some of those who receive the benefits of being a union shouldn't. For instance the drunk steel workers you hear about anytime someone bashes unions. The fact is for that stereotype to exist, at some point there had to be some truth. Am I saying all union workers are drunks, no. There are just a number that benefit from it too much while someone who is a better worker doesn't have that job.

I can go along with this.

You can't really "choose" to work where you want to. To work where I work you are not qualified unless you are willing to join the team. Our team is the IBEW and it's be a winning team for over 100 years.

What are you trying to say here? I was a steelworker for 35 years and I can tell you that anyone who was drunk on the job faced immediate suspension. Jobs are assigned by seniority and anyone who doesn`t keep up with production is removed from that particular job. His/her co-workers won`t put up with slackers.
