Anybody else still strongly believe in tradition like me and keep the man's family name in marriage. I am a man and my wife took my last name. No hyphen with her last name and mine, just my last name. And, did not keep her last name when we married like some women do!!
I really appreciate women that take the last name of the man, and keep the tradition.
I strongly believe that people should do what they want to do in this regard. I took my husband's name. My maiden name was also really long and really hard to pronounce.
I strongly believe people ought to do what ever they want in this regard. The traditions that a family holds is important to that family. But there is no value to anyone else. For my part, I chose to take my husband's name so that we and the children would all share the same name.
If I were to get married, I would keep my name. So would he. That's what would work best for us. This particular tradition doesn't hold any importance to me.
If I were to get married I'd either keep my name or hyphenate it. I don't care about traditions.
