Unfortunately, that caste system has been exported to this country.
To get this thread back on topic and far away from the Trayvon rabbit hole - you genuinely believe our country is equivalent to India's caste system? I would like to hear why you think so because I just don't see it.

I missed that one. Good grief, that's some stupid.
he got away with it because it was not premeditated murder.
why can't everyone understand that?
Because you can be convicted for killing someone - even if it is not premeditated murder. Murder 2 and 3, voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter.
and what did GM start?
There were past burglaries in his development. TM looked suspicious and did not even live there.
I guess if TM was white it would not have been so sensationalized.
He was living there at the time.
How did he look suspicious? Was it a case of Existing While Black?
I'm on board with white privilege as I equate it with white's being the majority in this country. What I'm wondering is this;
1. Can people succeed in this country despite not being the majority or white?
2. To what extent are white people holding down those minorities who don't succeed?
3. What percentage of success by minorities would it take in order for there no longer to be white privilege? Since, obviously 100% of white people here are not successful, just go to any WalMart or look in the Red States that are so poor.
4. How far away are we from a good number of minorities being sucessful in a white country?
5. Do we count Asians as minorities since they seem to come in and do pretty well almost from the time they get here?
And then what happened after GZ stopped "stalking" TM? Since TM made it all the way back to his house on the front porch, why did he go back and attack GZ who was heading back to his truck to wait for the police to arrive, i.e. not "stalking" anymore?
That's not relevant to this thread. The argument is that GZ stalked a kid minding his own business because he was wearing a hoodie. That argument was made in response to some people saying such profiling doesn't happen, it's all in the imaginations of minorities.
You want to argue GZ and Trayvon, you'll have to revive some old threads off Page 5 or so.

No, I was being literal. The Indian caste system has been exported to this country. It was more of a wry aside than anything else. I was referring to an incident that was told me in which an Indian worker on a factory floor refused to sweep the floor because "I am a Brahmin."

So you think if TM was white and wearing a letter jacket, Georgie Boy would have started stalking him in the first place?

Oh, ok. I know profiling happens all the time. I do it a lot where I'm from.
and his peers decided it was self defense.
again..if TM was white we wouldnt be discussing this.
