I am no liberal but I do think tis long due that the NFL protected its reputation to save the game from becoming what Box has become. Its not a liberal versus conservative think to me ;its saving the game as a sport instead of a group of thugs.
Its seems like the left is constantly attacking the game from concussions to marital abuse and whatever they can dig up. Is their ultimate goal to ban the game--no more sunday football.
If so my response to the left is you can stick you know where!!!
The ultimate goal of the left is to make us all automatons that do whatever they tell us to. We'll watch what they want us to watch on TV, eat what they want us to eat and behave as they want us to behave. For a group that's all about tolerance, they seen anything but. They only seem to tolerate what they like.

I don't think there is anything to show "the left" is taking aim on the NFL. Sure the left doesn't like the Redskins name. That is one team.
No one wants concussions, do they? Does anyone like domestic violence?
I think a legitimate topic is whether or not the NFL really has a role in disciplining its players for off the field problems. But that isn't left or right.

Oh, this is off-the-charts awesome! You had student who was a Goth and you posted how happy you were when she changed and became one more white-bread girl, acting like everyone else and dressing like everyone else. You were quite pleased when she stopped being an individual and became one more automaton who fit into YOUR box.
Funny thing about people who complain about the left. None of them own a mirror.

Not a sports fan, but I'd like to see the NFL's non-profit status revoked ASAP. I don't watch it, yet I subsidize it.
Do you understand that the only non-profit part of the NFL is the NFL organization itself? The teams are businesses and pay taxes just like any other business.
