Why do you speak when you don't know jack!!!
Here, maybe this will help you;
What does the citizenship test consist of?
You must know about basic U.S. history and government, and be able to speak, read, and write simple English.
Do I need to be able to speak English to become a U.S. citizen?
Yes, you must be able to read, write, and speak simple English. There are some exceptions for some older and long-time residents, and for some disabled permanent residents.

All the other posters in here who THINK they know about the assimilation of Germans, Italians, Slavs and Asians, don't have a clue! Both my maternal (Italian) and paternal (slavic) ancestors began learning English BEFORE they got here, and were proud to become Americans LEGALLY! The Chinese don't even allow their children to speak anything but English!
