Anyone who knows small town people knows if the Media would have gone, the town would have quarantined her since she was not a local.

I doubt any neighbors baked her pies and came over to chat.

There'd be no harm in leaving a freshly-baked pie on the front step and friendly card of good wishes.

Actually people did and pizza was delivered as well. The article cites Mr. Wilburs' concerns for his safety at the college he was attending as the reason for their departure. Blaming the sick for being sick out of fear and ignorance. A sad tale yet all so true.

Day 19.

The onset of symptoms whether early or late is similar. High viral load typically indicates onset.

And the school denies his claims, especially the ones about supposedly 'ignoring' his requests. I know, based on earlier articles, several residents in the very small town where they lived were quite upset with her being there. Small towns, they have long memories, especially if you did something the residents generally disagreed with.

"Typically . . .

There just may be other places of comfort for the ebola virus to bide than just a man's spawn sack.

Should surviving male ebola victims be masturbating frequently, with a condom on?

I think it's a good idea to move somewhere open minded in that case. She will be missed by her friends as anyone would be. This pre judging unfortunately is the price of the news media's assault on science.

"The U.S. is now free of known Ebola cases. Only two people have been infected in the United States and the 21-day monitoring period is almost over for Spencer’s contacts; it will end Thursday."

Looks like CDC was right about containing it after all.

I was surprised to find that someone I know is actually a medical school classmate of Dr. Spencer, who was probably near the top of his medical school class, taught himself to speak Chinese (while in medical school), took a year off after the third year of medical school for research (in China), and was famous for putting in many miles on his bicycle (which explains why 5 miles while incubating Ebola was nothing). Spencer also taught himself to play the guitar and speaks several other languages.

I am glad he is going home.
