Thanks for the update. I really need to get out and do grocery shopping some time soon.
Sounds like I can leave the hazmat suit at home.

People are strange. I know some who are afraid to hug someone going through chemo.

What is very encouraging is that in limited numbers we can manage the virus here in the U.S. That information and treatment I would assume is being sent to major nations and their health system and how to identify, treat and successfully get someone well who has the virus. Like other serious infections there are always issues which come up after the cure.

Day 18 for Kaci Hickox.

As Joe Biden once said "Mark my words". Eventually, a health care worker will catch Ebola from a patient and die, in a first world country.

You seem to have an unhealthy obsession with Kaci. Most of us have moved on.

I think the fear mongering and political opportunism has fully run its course on this issue. Ebola is a non-threat, as many of us knew when it was being hyped up in the first place. More Americans will die from heart attacks today than will die from Ebola in the next hundred years. This "story" was all about news ratings and money.

Now ^ funny.

Speculation on my part is that Ebola Czar may have had a chat with some New Corp Inc Board members about fear mongering vs.responsible reporting. That and the elections are over and politicians who claimed to know more than science don't need to fear monger, anymore.

I have to say I don't like the idea of the Czar interfering with the first amendment.

The Czar will tell you, that discussing the "emergence" of the ebola virus, and its relationship to our hapless health services, is the same as yelling "EBOLA" in a crowded theater. It is only to be done by government authority, or it will be considered unconstitutional.

It is just more banderslang snakeola, hula-hooping the dysfunctia.

Not just filamentary, dear Watson, the ebola virus is hoopy.

Hoopity-poopity poop.

That's what all the hoopla is about.

Or, you could just say it's a double lasso.

Lasso fever.

Does anyone think the Govt might not tell us if they were to bring other infected patients back to the US from Africa?

Why reveal that information?
