The first thing that popped into my head was that without corn and sugar subsidies, the prices of crappy food would skyrocket. So maybe diabetes would decline... likely to be replaced by malnutrition eventually, once labor went back to working for scrip.

Then again, maybe all those farmers who are getting paid to not grow corn will start growing it...

What on earth do you call what Democrats have done the last 50 years?

Exactly!

Unfortunately, most of the rules and regulations created and amended have been twisted the past 30 years to benefit the wealthy rather than to protect the ignorant of the country. The wealthy connected use rules and regulations to kill their competition rather than to protect the country. One only needs to look who is writing these to see it for what it is.

Imagine if I own a Big Bank on Wall Street or am head of Big Pharma or Big Oil and am allowed to write the rules....

Getting rid of the Regulations we have will only shift the game and the same predators we have will adjust accordingly to continue the game.

The top wealthy elite are always looking for an advantage to gain more wealth.

Wow... A "corporate free for all"?

Who created corporations?

The government.

A free market has no corporations. They are a government market intervention.

Plutocratic Third World. History has shown us this time and again. There is no reason to believe America would be any different.

History proves the opposite, with no exceptions.

And? Businesses will figure out how to become monopolies with or without governments. You are confusing the issue, public or private doesn't matter, the issue is human nature.

You're history is wrong or you don't know what plutocratic means.

And you two think there's no repercussions to taking what you want?

The federal system we have here was meant to keep things from getting out of hand like late 1700's France. So long as you have a federal republic like you're suppose to you have nothing to worry about. If you joined in with the crowd that thinks you live with any other form of government you are the problem and thereby can never be part of the solution.

Are you part of the problem?

The only way you can be a monopoly in a free market is to be drastically better than everyone else.

Government intervention creates monopolies. Free markets destroy them.
