Privatization is not done with the idea of 'maximum profit.' Conservatives like to do it where possible in order to reduce costs to taxpayers. So that we don't end up with things like a $9.50 Amtrak cheeseburger that costs $16 to make, leaving taxpayers to pay the $6.50 difference--a scenario that does not seem to trouble liberals in the least.
Sweden has adopted a voucher system for K-12 education ( privatization). New Zealand and Australia have also been moving towards privatization after years of public sector failures. Only in the US is a $9.50 cheeseburger that costs $16 to produce not seen as a problem by liberals.

Subsequently to that, Germany won the economic war, Adenauer's "wirtshaft winder", and continues to win that war.
And yes, the Marshall plan jump started it, but the long-term execution and delivery was done by the German people.
That is a reality.
I have actually talked to a few different WWII veterans who have claimed that from their point of view the French would sit around and wait for the US soldiers to clean up towns and so forth while complaining that it wasn't getting done quick enough, while the Germans on the other hand would come right out and clean up their own towns and streets themselves almost as soon as the firing stopped.
As long as Americans don't enslave black, brown or yellow people, we wish them all the success in the world. Enough of the whippings, rapes, lynchings, segregations and prejudice some of which hangs on to this day.

Slavery was imported to the United States by the British. The legacy was baked in before we were ever even a nation. Some places, like Canada were lucky enough to be too cold for plantation models of slavery.
How them Turks integrating into German society, btw? How is Africa doing decades after Euro (including german) colonialism? And who can forget how the German assault on jews pretty much jump-started the need for Israel, a major cause of destabilization in the middle eastern world, which has helped foment radical Islam?

Germany didn't import slaves into Germany. That is revisionist history to make America look good, which performed it's own Holocaust on the native Americans and on top of that had slavery. It was the UN promoted by the US and British who came up with the backing for Zionism, the return to Israel. It was the UN promoted by the US and British who came up with the backing for Zionism, the return to Israel. Maybe the USA supported the idea because they refused to accept Jewish refugees before the war, turning them back when they knew the fate that would befall them. Why did the USA refuse those people?
That's a good question. And precisely why Israel is necessary. Jews can't count on America or anyone else to protect them. They can only count on themselves. Had Israel existed before WWII, not only would the lucky ones who got out have had a place to go, but they would have also had an army to get involved long before the first American troops set foot in Europe.
US has fallen so far in so many areas, that it is only a myth that it is the best country to live in. That myth may slowly sinking as Americans expand their horizons and travel outside of their country, however it is a well known fact, that most Americans have never been outside their own country so how could they have a clue as to what goes on elsewhere.
