Kids are minors. Exactly what is the legal authority that allows minors to choose an alternate gender? And are they alone able to legally agree to sex change hormone therapy and surgery? Or must someone else sign the legal paperwork on their behalf?

Yes well you'll be happy to know that men can now change in the women's shower / locker room. It has nothing to do with transgender. If you want to see and harass naked women, you can walk right in. If anyone challenges you, Obama's law now tells you you're allowed to say you "feel like a woman inside" and there's not a damn thing anyone can do about it

My concern is the safety of the students choosing to use the opposite gendered bathroom. Letting them use it is one thing. How are you going to enforce tolerance with the other students? We have three transgendered students in my school that I know of. It's not so much an issue in the girls bathroom because they use individual stalls but I don't see the boys accepting a biological girl in their bathroom when they use urinals. Showers and locker rooms are another issue. Where nudity can happen you can't allow mixing of genders. In that case you have to go with what equipment they have or don't have as the case may be.
Here, in California, a number of schools have already been accommodating transgender students for the past two years. The law passed in 2013 and took effect in 2014. Mr. Obama is behind the times, when it comes to California.
The person in the photo I posted is Chaz Bono a FTM transgender, and according to the North Carolina law, and the lawsuit just filed in Texas he would have to use a women's restroom/locker room/shower because their birth certificate states female, so perhaps your reasoning is working against you.
The picture you posted looks like some kind of odd ball goth, body art aficionado I have no idea what gender that person is, and I would not be concerned if they entered a lady's room that I was occupying so what is your point?

That's not what the law says at all. He could use the men's room and frankly nobody would care or notice.
