Let me see if I have this right. Actually "parenting" is bad and creates an unfair advantage by benefiting those children? Why not blame the breeders that don't parent for damaging their children? Place the blame, you know, where it actually belongs?
The Left's philosophy isn't to raise people up, it's to break them down to the lowest common denominator. Their answer to poverty is to put everyone in it so it's fair to everyone else. Their answer to not having a family environment is to destroy it so nobody has it so it is fair for all. This is nothing new, it's their village/tribal outlook on everything. Individuality is shunned by Leftists unless you are a part of the elite class like a politician or entertainer.
I'm a moderate liberal, but that's just incredibly wrong. We don't need any more dumbing down of kids and we have to pull up our big girl panties and live with the fact that life isn't fair and some people will have more advantages than others. It's why I hate when Bernie whines that some people have more than others. So what? Shouldn't he just be worried about some people not having enough (food/medical care/education, job opportunities, etc.)?
Sigh, it's a philosopher having thoughts - like 2000 years ago a guy called Plato famously wanted to abolish the family and put children into care of the state.

In the year 2081, amendments to the Constitution dictate that all Americans are fully equal and not allowed to be smarter, better-looking, or more physically able than anyone else. The Handicapper General's agents enforce the equality laws, forcing citizens to wear "handicaps": masks for those who are too beautiful, radios inside the ears of intelligent people, and heavy weights for the strong or athletic...

No its so much easier to knee jerk and run around foaming at the mouth than to actually LISTEN to what the interview says.
Anything to create "victims"...the more victims they can name, the bigger the government they need to "fix" the victimization!
...but what they don't want people to know is that their solutions only create more victims, and that's just how they want it.

I have to give you credit for having the audacity to still be a moderate anything. All us moderates get squelched by the rants of the extreme fringe on both sides.
