As a male, I have no say in the matter. I found that out by paying when my other offer was rejected.
The irony was 3 years later when I get the letter and 3 am phone calls full of regret wishing she had let me raise the kid.
You had a personal experience that has left you bitter and it has impaired your ability to look impartially at this topic. It's unfortunate that you were in the situation that you were, but you know, it's not American women's burden to carry the load of feels that people have that cause them to loathe abortion and become so concerned with the freedom and rights of others.
Women, including myself, are fully cognizant of what's going on: treating women like 2nd class citizens is perfectly acceptable as long as they have access to subpar medical facilities for abortions.
Why insist on treating women like 2nd class citizens when there's clearly no need to? No one's wailing and hand-wringing about lack of access to surgery centers that must meet the higher standards.
I do not believe that women out there think you have a scintilla of interest in their well being.
If you simply avoid having an abortion, you will never ever need to worry about the condition of clinics that offer such services. So that's a good solution for your worry.
Why not be concerned about the well-being of 51% of the population?
In what world is treating women like 2nd class citizens perfectly acceptable as long as they have access to subpar medical facilities for abortions? Misogynyland?

Keep telling yourself that while you land firmly on the side of misogyny.

Perhaps we should have you answer the question... Why insist on treating women like 2nd class citizens when there's clearly no need to? No one's wailing and hand-wringing about lack of access to surgery centers that must meet the higher standards. Why is that?

Right.
Why do you keep on trying to treat women as if they have to be protected (from themselves)? Women aren't going to subpar medical facilities for abortions. How do we know this? Because it's incredibly rare (and I know you are arguing otherwise), for women to have serious complications from an abortion. Women are at greater risk for complications at the dentist's office.
But you are fixated on "protecting" women, which seems to be a euphemism for "controlling" women.

If TX was serious about safety in outpatient facilities, then they would have made every facility that did any surgical procedure follow the same regulations, but we all know that "safety" wasn't their concern.
I think the point as far as the SCOTUS decision is that the government should be on the outside of that particular circle, not the people involved. The people involved should have options and be free to make their own decision, unaffected by either the government or the beliefs of others.
The SC has always acknowledged, even in Roe v. Wade, that government has a legitimate state interest in regulating aspects of abortion. This decision simply moves further in the direction of the SC usurping the role of elected officials to determine what the regulations are.
