Wait what? So the police need to call a time out and get the courts involved when someone is pointing a gun at them. ROFLMAO!!! For a minute I thought you were serious. You should do comedy. That post is priceless.

The facts were that she had a weapon aimed at police. The facts were that she refused to drop the weapon.
It would appear to be the case.

Her husband "said" she was armed with a BB gun. That is not a fact, but instead it is hearsay. Just as the family of the Charlotte victim "said" he was unarmed and only had a book.
And while you're contemplating the situation, and mulling over whether the gun is real or not, and trying to decide if they're crazy enough, and considering if you can de-escalate the situation.......boom, you're dead.
And yet....it happens far more times like that as opposed to someone being dead.
I really tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but it's quite obvious you have a real problem with cops. Why is that?
I don't. I have a problem with bad ones, especially when they are not held accountable for their actions. As we all should be but it seems many aren't.
I doubt this is a case of "bad" ones. Maybe not trained enough to deal with the mentally ill but that isn't necessarily their fault.

That is because your post made no sense. You want to give the criminal the benefit of the doubt. You are anti-cop. Probably a reason for that but it doesn't give a criminal the excuse to point a weapon at a police officer and expect him to back down. That is just asking to get shot.
Are the anti-police people going to raise a big issue about every suicide-by-cop now?
We should decide to deal with problems like this before it ever gets to that point. It will never be perfect BUT it's better to provide the funds for someone to get help with a mental illness as opposed to continually paying out 7 figure settlements.
