What do you feel when you read the thread title?

Just 20 years ago, I could make this statement and there would hardly be a cringe among a crowd.

Today, it is seen as taboo; as if a damning slander suddenly leaped out of the dark ages. Heck, someone might close this very thread.

Why is this? How is it that a societal opinion can change so quickly, and so fiercely?

Because homosexuals are consenting adults, not child molesters or beastiality practitioners. They aren't hurting anybody, so let them be married if they want

Because the left has made up all sorts of fancy insults to hurl at you. I don't blame you for not wanting to be called a bunch if "-ist" and "-phobe" names.

It's this exact reason why Trump won in so many states. People were secret about their beliefs in fear of being labeled. When they got in the voting booth, they voted with their heart.

Just within the last 20 years? After thousands of years of human existence on this earth? It must be something more.

What about my 2nd amendment rights? Those are protected by the constitution and a founding principal of our nation. Yet every 4 years a politician campaigns on the promise to limit my freedom

Well, sexual appetites have nothing to do with race. Do you realize that?

Personally, I can care less about gay marriage.

There are some legal benefits of marriage, period, and if gays and lesbians want to "get married" in order to get those benefits, like Inheritance Benefits, Marital Tax Deduction, etc, let them. What is the big deal?

Gays and lesbians will not turn straight folks gay, and they won't harm your children. My six year old nephew asked me once, "why two men can kiss?" I told him, "because they love each other." That is all he has to know.

As a Millennial and a conservative, I think people should just let gay marriage go already. Let it go, let it go.
