Yes, he said yesterday that he supports it. He is such a lap dog with a magic pen - he's sign anything without review.

Trump endorses GOP replacement plan for Obamacare, says 'let's get it done'

"President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he was "proud to endorse" a plan to replace Obamacare backed by Republican leaders in Congress, and called for its quick passage even as opposition to the bill hardened among conservatives."

It's highly doubtful that Trump even read it. And if he did, it's even more doubtful that he understood it. He will dutifully sign anything that is put in front of him, as long as there are cameras around to assure he is shown on the nightly news. Assure him publicity and he will sign anything. I used to think GWB was sorely lacking in intelligence, but next to the current occupant W looks like Einstein.

Yes, there was a graphic on the news this morning showing the subsidy for a 27 yr old male going from $103 under the ACA to the $2000 flat rate under the AHA.

Some 60 billion dollars annually (about ten percent) of total Medicare spending is waste and fraud. Get that number down and plow back into the program.

Another *HUGE* savings would be the most logical, but yet resisted by GOP and others; force Medicare to develop a formulary and negotiate for lowest pharmaceutical and other prices, same as private healthcare.
Most 'fraud' in Medicare is related to billing errors/disputes. Some are simply inadvertent, many others based on pushing the codes upward trying to squeeze out the best reimbursements. And when that push gets into the gray zone, Medicare might push back for recoding. Sometimes it can be out and out fraud, most is not. Most waste is due to laziness and/or stupidity of the providers. Not getting all the records and then redoing testing already done for instance. Or not doing an adequate history and physical, and just ordering shotgun style all possibly useful testing.

Negotiate on meds for sure. I was amazed when Part D passed as it did.

In many markets, younger people will come out better under Trump's plan. That's good, because one of Obamacare's fatal flaws was that it did not subsidize younger buyers, who really don't see much need, enough to encourage them to take out policies. It favored older people at their expense. This could, of course, be fixed without this abomination of a plan that Trump put out which is going to put health insurance out of reach for millions of middle and older people. Really, it would be far easier to just fix the problems and unintended consequences of the ACA legislation. Every new initiative like that has them and in a normal political environment they could have been addressed years ago.

When did we set the standard as actually reading and understanding something before signing or voting for it?

Are you saying that anyone who would do this a moron that should be run out of D.C.?

If so I am with you. It's going to create a huge turn over but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.
