Thank you. I'm with you and hearing that is the final nail in the coffin for McDonald's, as far as I and millions of their former customers are concerned.
I wish I had been surprised to see a lot of resonance with your OP in the first couple of pages. I wasn't, of course. The familiar parade of youthful "progressives" that were born in an upside down world and that is all they have ever known.
But be assured there are lots of us who get it. And since McDonald's hasn't even been close to competitive for many years, they may have just shot themselves fatally in the foot by turning away a a large portion of their traditional customers who have hung with them for decades.
Actually not so fact. That's why you've got all these closet boy molesters preaching family values getting caught diddling with little Johnny. Not only do many of them need a bumper sticker, they occasionally hide behind the family values bumper sticker they don't even believe in. Of course not all straight people need to hide behind the family values bumper sticker and certainly some of those that do need to hide behind it are not closet Johnny diddlers.
Give it time. 100 years ago being gay was considered mentally sick. In a 100 years from now being a pedophile might not be considered mentally sick either. Hell, they'll even get their own flag/sticker symbol.

First of all, if I was an investor in McDonalds, I would be pissed. Mcdonalds could be looking at some boycotts over their rainbow fries. Why do these companies feel the need to have a position on social issues? You make fast food. No one wants to go to Mcdonalds to hear or see a message about gay pride. They just want the food that they are used to. Such a move serves no benefit business wise as people like Christians may choose to no longer do business there. It just shows there is a liberal agenda at play here even at the cost of making money.
I don't want to go to Mcdonalds and see some barrier that says, "check out our gay fries in fun rainbow colors because being gay is fun and cool!" Of course, they will say they are only showing support for the gay community, but I see it as marking a specific message especially to kids.
Most Christians including myself don't care how someone wants to live their life as long as they are not causing harm to others. But these marketing ploy is just another growing instance of the LGBT community forcing a pro-gay message onto the public. Just give me fries.
So? Chick-Fil-A is closed on Sunday because the company has deep religious roots. Not only that, I went into two different Chick-Fil-A locations that played gospel music the whole time. Did I like it? No. I don't believe in God and don't want to hear religious music on my lunch hour. But I don't have to be religious to eat their food. I go there because I like their product and they have good service, no matter what the political or religious views of the owner. Besides, I doubt Mickey D's message of acceptance will help or hinder their business. They keep forgetting the reason they are suffering; their food costs too much and tastes terrible.
On the same level of being two things that people find morally wrong, yes it is.
It make sense to find Nazism morally wrong. The position that Nazi's hold is actually absurd. Not only is there no moral principle to explain their position, it's also scientifically inaccurate.
As for being against gay pride, a movement that advocates for preventing members of the LGBT community from facing discrimination, harassment, or violence, that doesn't make sense. Do you think that gay people should be subject to harassment? Sure the parades and such are a little over the top, but if you look at the history of the movement, at it's core it's really just to keep gay people from being treated like second class citizens. And honestly, only an ******* can really oppose that.
I don't hate gay people, I am tired of them pushing their lifestyle in my face though and won't buy fries from McDonalds until it goes back to the agenda-free format. Plus it really doesn't matter anyways since I don't eat McDonalds but maybe once on a good year.
There is no "gay lifestyle" (I for one, am too poor to have a lifestyle).
There is no "straight lifestyle".
There are just lives.
