Blue states use pot. Red states use opioids like fentanyl and OxyContin.
Which is worse?...............Hmmmmmm...........You be the judge.
Those people who od'd in the car with their children in the back seat were from a red state and would've voted for Trump if they stayed sober long enough.
Tats.........
I was offered a management position at a major property in Kauai, Hawaii, back in the mid 80s. Free car. Free lodging, great pay. They accepted me and said to submit moving estimate costs.
I found out that management does not wear suits in Hawaii. They wear short sleeved, Hawaiian shirts.
I have forearm Tattoos from my Vietnam days.
When they found out they said, "Thanks for applying, but not thanks."
Nothing is in it for me, just that people who choose not to get tatted up or pierced up or choose an exhibitionist style tend to ascend higher in the ranks of business, law, academia, etc etc etc, probably because they know that being an exhibitionist like that will hurt your chances. Why? Maybe there are other "pretentious" people like me in the higher ranks that thinks that exhibitionist style looks silly.
Again, why do you care what a total strangers salary is? Why can't you answer such a basic question?
Why should I favor anyone over another? Why should I favor someone with no tattoos to someone who has sleeves, or vice versa? This is you picking the fight, no one else.
I am mostly taking about this notion that many liberals have about dispelling this idea that things are XYZ in the average in favor of using the outlier as a way to prove the truth in the average wrong. That if I say that in the average, people with exhibitionist tats, hair, and piercings don't make up the ranks of the higher class in this country that it's an erroneous opinion because they know a guy who has tats and runs a start up.
Why the heck are you guys having a completely off topic discussion about tattoos and piercings in the first place? This isn't left field it is the bowling alley next door to the park.
Ask the chick who brought it up. NC something, I think.
What about them? Zealotry is silly in general, but different forms of zealotry produce distinct behavioral consequences -- some notably worse than others.

I don't care about salary because like you snidely said, that hipster actress with the sleeve tats and cheshire grin, makes way more money than I do, and probably more than an attorney before making partner. MY point is that in the average the best positions where the smartest people go into, there tend to be less exhibitionists.

But in a backhanded sort of way you do prove a point.
Liberals are inclusive and include a wide diversity of individuals and are accepting of their lifestyle choices.
Conservatives are exclusionary and do all in their power to reject, demonize and ostracize from society all who are different in looks, color, demeanor and lifestyle choices.
Conservatives pass laws that are designed to separate and exclude whole segments of society.
Liberals pass laws that are inclusive and accepting of all segments and lifestyles.
Major difference between the two. One is based on love and acceptance.
The other is based on hate and exclusion.
You are attempting to further the exclusionary process right here in this thread.
