As far as I can tell, Antifa, much like the KKK, is more of a brand name than an actual centralized group.
The hating fascists, or even just people to the right of them, and the protests are fine. That's why we have the first amendment. The individuals that become violent, or advocate violence, break the law and should be arrested. Not the whole group, though. Just the ones breaking the law.
From a practical perspective, they probably help swing more voters to the right than to the left. I suspect they don't really care about that, but people a little left of center might get frustrated. Especially when they become the public face of opposition to the current President.
If you say that Antifa should be forbidden as a hate groups but other obvious white supremacist hate groups like skinheads and KKK are just exercises in "free speech," then you are, at best, an idiot.
I don't like any of them, but so long as they don't resort to violence, our way of life says that they all have the right to exist and express their opinions.
Since they freely admit that their belief is that violence is an acceptable reaction to speech, yes, they should be banned.
I don't like communists or white supremacists, but as long as they are not committing acts of violence they are free to say whatever they want to say. The difference with Antifa is they promote violence AND they follow through on it.

When they use violence on others or destroy private property (a form of violence) the victim should have the right of self-defense as they see fit.
Blowing a few heads off after Antifa initiated violence would do the trick.

America has a long history of fighting fascist, Nazism and White Supremacy, with violence if nothing else works. It's just as important to do it here in america as it was in Europe and Germany. maybe moreso.
Comparing ANTIFA to solders from our greatest generation is pathetic. The loser Neo-Nazis are not taking over the world like Nazi Germany was trying to do. This is more important than what Hitler was doing? Really? Remember the concentration camps and 6 million dead jews? But this is more important?
And no we entered WWII because Japan attacked us not because we had some long history of fighting fascism.
Lock up ANTIFA leaders as well as the Neo Nazi's. Charge them under rico and put them away for 20 years.

Except Antifa does cross that line, and they do it unapologetically. That is what makes them different. That's why they should be on a terrorist watch list. If these other groups were to take the same stance as Antifa, then put them on a terrorist watch list too.

The same exact people who slam antifa for violence are the same people who advocate violence against them
I'm an absolutist where it pertains to freedom of association, but Antifa should be closely monitored as well as openly conndemned and criticized. Any violence committed specifically to achieve politically motivated outcomes or to abridge the Constitutional rights of others should result in felony charges without exception.
