what if you put one of these on a current fully automatic weapon? I presume it would increase it's firepower to Jesse The Body in Predator mode

They are. It's a Federal law that felons aren't supposed to possess guns. Just look at Chicago to see how that plays out in real life.

How are you going to check EVERY gun free zone? Metal detectors everywhere, wanding, x-ray to get into every city?

We already have a Federal Law the states agreed to a long time ago that states have illegally disrespected. It is called the SECOND AMENDMENT. Please read the Constitution.

Yes, because most Americans are law abiding citizens and it would take some time before they woke up and realized, what they let happen.

ps: solely dependent on military and police ...
