Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.
Would it not be reasonable to expect that if he had repented, he would at least acknowledge it happened and talk about how he had changed his ways, etc. As it is, if it happened (using the word if just to keep it more theoretical as a construct for discussion, he seems shady to me) , he’s doubling down and lying about it. Not exactly Christian behavior.
Moore pretty much admitted he did it. What else could he have possibly meant when he said that he never dated any woman without the permission of her parents? I am not from the south, so maybe I am missing something but that is a very strange statement for a man describing his actions when he was in his 30s to say. Typically a 30 something man dates a woman several times before he even meets the parents, if ever.
Then this woman comes on TV crying like a school girl, like it happened yesterday, says she thought he was going to rape her.
Not defending this southerner (Moore) by any stretch but after seeing this woman on tv crying like you said (as if it was recent) rubbed me the wrong way. I know we have repressed memories and all that but I really think she was faking (not saying it didn't happen).
I've not been following this closely so forgive me if someone already mentioned this.
The waitress who said Moore locked his car doors so she couldn't escape and drove her around back to the parking lot behind the restaurant --
Cars didn't have child locks back then
This restaurant didn't have a parking lot behind it.
Cars had locks? Correct?
Restaurants have parking lots? Correct?
