Here's gun control for you - shut down the media, shut down social media, shut down the spread of information. Humans want a platform to be seen. That goes away, so does a lot of purpose.
Of course that will never happen, but one can dream.
Nope. I've never seen anything like that. It is always OUR rights. OUR right to life means WE have a right to defend OURselves, which means that WE have a right to possess the means of self-defense.
These are HUMAN rights, not my rights.
Then your reading comprehension leaves something to be desired. Look no further than the OP.
And how far away is the muzzle from the skull when you do that? 1400 ft/sec with soft lead of less than 40 grains doesn't equate to a lot of penetration power of a cows skull bone vs the over 50 grain and 2700 ft/sec .223.
I bet you don't deliberately go anywhere near a feral hog with a .22 rimfire; unless it's in a fenced cage
This is the little booger my dad gave me for my twelfth birthday in 1958. I used it to pot ground-hogs for the neighbouring dairy farmers to prevent cows from breaking legs.
Pigs drop too. If I'm hunting dangerous game I use something bigger but still, the lil .22 is still deadly.
Shooting innocent thin skinned victims wouldn't require much.
I use win mag when it gets scary
Well, I'm afraid you're correct about that. Even the old Marlin model 60 I bought after that little Cooey outlived it's usefulness would suffice for serious harm in a crowded classroom.
Winchester mag? .300 or ........... .458 maybe ????? Yeah that would take care of any fear inducing critter alrighty.
My hunting days are long past but my pride and joy was a Remington 700 in .308 I bought new in 66
Not our natural rights. Some are explicitly protected, and the ones not explicitly listed are retained by us, so says the 9th Amendment. Natural rights are assumed based on existence itself. The people are born with them, and the ones listed in the Bill of Rights are not granted, but are instead listed as being free from government limitation or removal. The 9th covers the ones we possess but were not explicitly listed. And the 10th Amendment takes it all one step further and says if the government power wasn't specifically enumerated in the preceding document, then the government does not have that power and that power belongs to the states and the people.
The right to keep and bear arms is a natural right that is assumed as part of existence, and the government cannot abridge/deny that right. It was not granted by the government, it was listed as something we already possess that the government cannot f_u_kc with.
A nuclear weapon is an arm. Can everyone have one?

Sorry to hear, sounds like I'd hunt with you. Love to hear the stories.
Sometimes we need to sacrifice for the good of all....because it's not just us as individuals, it's us as a country.
Children don't get the concept of restraining their desires for the good of others. That comes later in their emotional development , when they gain the ability to understand how their desires and actions affect others. Some , obviously , never reach this level of maturity. Until then , its all about what they want, and they will throw tantrums if they don't get what they want , and if others are harmed by their childish desires, well children don't care. That's the way children are. Its why my and me and mine is always a part of their response.

Since when should anyone give up their right to self protection? You want to give it up go ahead but how about you quit stomping on others rights? We fought a revolutionary war over that.
