Our taxes are so high because the government ‘health’ taxes us – the more you earn the more ‘health tax’ you pay no matter how healthy you are. But it's free, right?
I guess people never will figure out there is very little that is free.

Are you implying that lower- wage Norwegians are worse off comparably to lower-wage Americans?

The working poor can never benefit from a privatized system of health insurance as the cost of health care will not be adjusted according to ability to pay, unlike a Medicare-for-all system. The billionaire fat cat and the poor elderly widow will be charged the same price for a health care service in a privatized system.

OK, so let me get this straight...

Tax cuts for business is bad because they will just pocket the money and lay-off their employees but a tax-payer funded healthcare system replacing an employer funded system is a great idea, why?

Why not simply mandate that all employers provide health insurance?

As I understand it, the majority of private sector hourly workers in Norway belong to a union.

The percent of US private sector hourly workers who are union members is about 6%.

Majority of private sector hourly employees in Norway are Union members.

BTW, 29 states in the US have Minimum Wages higher than the Federal Minimum and they are not all blue states.

The minimum wage is not only for union workers. Around 49% of all Norwegian employees are union members.
