Hillary did not get a majority of the votes cast, she got a plurality.

Votes wise, Trump + Others > Hillary.

Hillary................................48.2 % of the votes cast.
Trump + Others..................51.8 % of the votes cast.

Re POTUS, women candidates didn't get a majority of the votes cast either:

Hillary............48.20 %
Jill Stein...........1.07 %
_____________________

Total..............49.27 %

The total re female 'write-in candidates' (Colorado alone had 22 candidates who got 235 or more votes) didn't add another '0.73 % + 1' to the Hillary + Jill Stein total, or even 0.681 %.

He didn't "play to their fears".

What baloney.

Trump stated what is obvious to people in "flyover country":

Our infrastructure is crumbling. Jobs have left and we need a new approach. And if that approach includes education, Common Core isn't the answer. We don't want to see cops and vets disrepected. Get the government out of healthcare. Fix immigration. If you are a Member of Congress, do what we sent you to do and stop making empty promises. Stop the corruption! We welcome working with other countries, but we need to get our own house in order first.

Gay marriage, trans rights, abortion...water under the bridge now.

These things are so obvious to millions upon millions of us, none of which has to do with "fear", but has everything to do with common sense.

Yes, you are correct.

Yes, infrastructure is crumbling and needs to be upgraded. The jobs that maintained middle class lifestyles in the Midwest are gone and they are not coming back. Educating these people would be great. Start with technology training. GED for those that never finished High School, etc... Trump campaigned on fear and hatred with a few little snippets how he was going to help them. He's not and the sooner they realize that the better off they will be unless running on hope is the only thing left. Very sad problem. The coasts help by subsidizing these areas with our taxes but it is not enough. I don't have any easy answers b/c there aren't any.

I'll vote for a woman if she vows to end demographic changing immigration and stop handing out citizenship like candy. Also she can't play the woman card. I don't know of any vowing that.

Well she didn't get 270 electoral votes, which is why she is not president.

Again... what is your point as it relates to this thread?

I'm not the ridiculous one, here. Many liberal women (and men) admitted they would vote for Hillary BECAUSE she was a woman. The "first woman president" was what was important to them. Not policy.

The dems better campaign in 2020 on bringing jobs back and keeping them in the country, or they will lose

No way that is true.

Compared to the men you mean?
Come on now...
I know how we can be too. And I see things differently than you. Some women just like some men are wack jobs. But most are not.

Hillary is wacky, Trump is wacky.

As a matter of fact....I think politicians are wacky more or less.
