If legislators want to cancel loans they need to take money from other social programs or rescue cash from some of the grand boondoggles they created, that, through waste fraud or inefficiency lose taxpayer money. Consider loan forgiveness as paid with found money. You know they can do it.
The loans must be paid off to the lender.
The interest rates approach usuary and must be capped within reason
Then create a scale of median and average loan amounts, each level with a cap.
Gangs had been scamming college grants/loans, set up some members as a student get the cash and scram.
Kinda late for that isn't it? Look at the recent arguments. "Tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts". How do we get the money back from Wall Street? It isn't through tax cuts. Where is the discussion about forcing them to pay their debts. The auto companies still owe us a ton of money.
Where are the arguments to make them pay it back?
Great. When do you think we will shut the Fed's doors?
You are arguing for something you know we aren't going to do, in large part because no one is making the argument.
You sign for a loan, you pay the loan.
But the government backing student loans are why tuition is so high in the first place.

Maybe you should start a thread on that topic.
Government should not be involved with loans at all and should NEVER bail out a business.
BTW, Obama said the auto companies did pay back their loans. But we know that's a lie.

I don't recall seeing him bash the military. I have seen him be pretty critical of some of the things certain administrations choose to do with the military, but that's different.
