Why should someone be required to vote? Where's the freedom in that? Perhaps, liberals can't get their types of people to voluntarily go through the process of registering to vote and then actually casting a ballot during election season. Therefore, making it mandatory is the only way for democrats to garner enough votes to win.

What's that again about Republicans being pro-liberty? lol.

Lol - so true!

In right-wing land, you can own whatever weapon you want, but the government will tell you what religion to follow, what consenting adults you cannot marry, and I guess for whom to vote. It's certainly a unique view on what freedom actually is.

Very nice and fair way to look at the majority of Americans.

the facts are that there have been proposals (from both parties, but mostly from the dems) to eliminate the 22nd amendment

The most recent such proposal is H.J. 15, introduced by Rep. Jose E. Serrano of New York:Rep. Serrano a Democrat, stated that the purpose of his proposal for repealing the 22nd amendment is specifically to “pave the way to make a president for life”
Rep. Serrano has introduced the very same proposal to Congress every two years since 1997:
(in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2001, 2013)
.
another Democrat, Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, introduced a similar proposal six times in recent years, in 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, and 2005

Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts (Democrat): 1995, 1997, and 1999

and a few others

not a single one of these proposals has ever been brought to a vote before Congress (they were all referred to committee and died there), much less passed and sent to the states for ratification.

It's because society nowadays is morally at rock bottom. It isn't a Republican or liberal issue. The two parties just simply jockey back and forth with what laws should be implemented to manage the aftermath. Therefore, we have no freedom.

Can we have free markets at least? I'd like to still be able to choose between Dove Soap, Irish Spring, or Yeshua Blood when in the Target bath aisle.

Just letting that other guy know that the majority did not support Trump. Its truly a sight to behold the fantasy worlds trumpers construct.
