All you luvvie "citizen of the world" leftists deep down know you wouldn't live in the Middle East because those countries are the most illiberal places in the world.
Yet you think that when the culture that produced the most illiberal countries in the world gets transplanted with no expectations of assimilation that Europe, there will be no consequences. You really think that Europe can transform and be 60-70% Middle Eastern Muslim and African and STILL be a progressive and free society like it is today? That status was built up over centuries of fighting and strife. It arose because of some pretty specific cultural and historical circumstances. Europe isn't importing Canadians, you know? Or even South Americans (which share a cultural legacy). These are incompatible civilizations. Europe is too weak to defend itself from the domination designs of much more masculine and assertive cultures.
So how? How do you expect Europe to look in 100 years if it's minority-indigenous European? In what world do you live if you think it's going to be the same as it is now and open and free? What history books do you read where you think the outcome is going to be different for Europe than anywhere else, at anytime in history?
Seriously.... why are liberals so. damn. dumb. on this issue?
I don't get why liberals have zoomed in on Muslims as the minority to be defended. They are a distant second to the minority most attacked for prejudice (that would be Jews), and they stand for so much that the liberals are opposed to: they stone women for adultery, throw gays off buildings, look upon women as their husbands' property, and so forth.
Why? At times in Leesburg County (which for other readers is a county about 30 or 40 miles outside of DC), I feel like I'm in a Middle Eastern country too. Ever gone to MACY's out there? They feature a Muslim clothing line (with the posters showing Muslim women in traditional garb), and about 25% of the cashiers are wearing hijabs. There's a lot of Arabic being thrown around, too. And out on the mall itself, you see women in the full black covering, with only their eyes visible, and a gaggle of kids following behind. Even in the heat of summer, when it's 95 degrees out. Sometimes, if it's a weekend, there's a husband walking ahead, dressed in Western garb.
I am currently reading a book, The Strange Death of Europe, by Douglas Murray. Although I am only about half-way into it, if I can recommend just one book for anyone who cares at all about the direction that society is going, this is the book to read.
I will let the above website reviews and comments speak for themselves, so I will only add that at first I was aghast at the FACTS presented and then I was slightly put off by what I perceive as some racism by the author, only to be reminded of the following well-known quote by the second U.S. president, John Adams:
"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."

And guess who is paying for all them kids?
It's not usually the Muslim doctors and scientists that make their wives wrap up in bed sheets and have 5 kids.
It's the taxi driver. Providing that oh-so-essential service that surely outweighs the tens and tens of thousands in benefits that hsi children will be entitled to from public school to WIC and food stamps.

When Muslims are a majority there ARE NO MINORITY RIGHTS.
(Well, unless you count the old "Jizya" system whereby "people of the book" have to pay special tax for the privilege of staying alive. Everyone else? Dead.)

I don't get it either. Islam as a doctrine is crap. All three of the Abrahamic religions have some questionable things, but Islam is really assbackwards in my opinion.
I haven't heard anything about Europe being particularly dangerous. It's probably like anywhere, has good and bad parts.
I didn't see it as dangerous either, but there is a lawlessness that seems prevalent. Couple we were recently with, had their valuables stolen in broad daylight, aided by other locals. The way it was explained to me was, purse stolen in a restaurant, husband made chase, lured into an small back street, attacked-beaten, wallet-watch-wedding ring taken. Report to police who told them to go to the American consulate and file a report. Police didn't even seem to care.

I know. Whenever I'm in an International Airport I always feel like I'm in a different country. Once I was waiting for my flight and a flight from China debarked at the next gate and I thought I was in China when all the Chinese people traveling from China got off of their flight from China. LOL

Maybe your fear is not rational given the fact that there is only 1% Muslims in US.
