Actually, I'm picturing a group of Honduran young men standing with there arms held up in surrender while bouncing rocks off their knees and ankles like a soccer ball before kicking them at 100mph at the guards.
It used to be that "Give me your tired, your poor" was meant for immigrants from Europe coming through Ellis Island and coming here legally, the right way.
To this day that holds true. Few people are against legal immigration, but the left does not understand the distinction between that and hordes of humanity crashing our gates and making demands.
The left doesn't care about the criminal element and the consequences of that, or the burden on our resources, or the potential diseases these people might bring.
That is the difference between the right and the left. For the left there is no practicality or reasoning beyond their bleeding hearts, consequences be damned.

What are YOU personally going to do about all of this? Have you opened your home to 20-30 illegal aliens and are supporting them out of your own pocket---paying for the food, clothing and medical care? Somehow I doubt it. You just talk the talk and refuse to walk the walk.
Better yet, sell off all your possessions and quit your job. Then choose a banana republic to and move there. Devote the rest of your life to improving the lives of the residents.
How about you answer these questions---How many people will be too many for you? 1 billion? 2 billion? Do you seriously think that we have unlimited buildable land and potable water? India has over 1 billion people and Bangalore doesn't have enough potable water. I want better than that for my descendants. Why don't you want the same for yours?
