I like the billboards someone donated.
The only thing about to explode is the colostomy bag that is called the Trump presidency.

$20 million is not even a dent in the total price of the private land the government would need to buy to build a wall, let alone construction costs. No construction is about to begin either. The permits to build on government land will take at least a year to obtain and then bids would have to go out. Unless Trump plans to hand out the work to his buddies' companies, as he probably thinks he could do.

Seems to me that if this wall was so critical There would be for at least a 40%tax on the wealthy and big corporations. But again do the wealthy ever want to pay what they can afford? They’ve bled the middle and poor to death already. So don’t even think we are going to pay for your darn wall.

That is bullcarp and you know it. Many things are not shut down but rather cut down to the bone. Muscle and far removed not just the fat. My mother who inspected items made for our troops by contractors to protect them. Guess what, they had furloughs. It isn't just things that should or could be streamlined, but rather integral parts nobody realized existed. That and private industry I can't trust for TSA to expect different results and FAA I can't expect privateers doing better since they need to be in contact with others in other airports.

20 Million is enough to pay Trump extra on a 20 million lot (you pay him 40, like the russians did) and that then entitles you to his good graces.

What amazes me is not that he is for sale....it's how cheap the price is.

"Rybolovlev added that he didn’t plan to live in the United States.
Nonetheless, he went ahead and paid an exceptionally high, $50 million premium to Trump, then a real estate tycoon and reality TV host, for a property he never sought to live in, not even on a part-time basis.".....

20 Million will buy a meeting with Trump - maybe even an outing with Don Jr.

The fact is that if we don’t have barriers, walls — call them what you want — but if we don’t have very strong barriers, where people cannot any longer drive right across — they have unbelievable vehicles. They make a lot of money. They have the best vehicles you can buy. They have stronger, bigger, and faster vehicles than our police have, and than ICE has, and than Border Patrol has. So they’re pretty good at that. They have areas that they go to. It’s like a highway. And we have to close them up. And if we don’t close them up, you’re all kidding yourselves.

Or maybe you can show us where your president said exactly what the person you quoted said....

Lets wait....

Great question, they should have.

And there it is.

If we are in crisis mode.
If it was so important for the country.

Why didn't Trump and his band of Republicans do something sooner, faster.

They didn't.

Trump has some kind of attention disorder -- not saying ADHD, etc...but his erratic jumping from one thing to the next is chaotic and ends up diminishing what he may perceive as important -- in this case the wall.

Why didn't the Republicans fund the wall when they were able to? Because they didn't want the wall either. They also said it was too expensive, just as the Democrats are saying now. But now that the Democrats are also saying no, it's the Democrats fault the government is shut down, rather than Trump's

Trump said he was for it before he was against it (after listening to his Faux News "advisors"). He is demanding over $5 billion for a campaign promise that once included the absurd addendum of Mexico footing the bill, and has chosen to shut down the government to make his point.

So, it is definitely wrong to say that Democrats don't care about border security. They are more than willing to allocate money/resources to ensure our security but also want to address the immigration issue and have humane policies towards those seeking asylum in this country.

Trump has painted himself into a corner but this is also a time when he will be the most dangerous -- like any cornered rat. He is getting desperate to find a way out of this situation that will save face but no one seems willing to help him. He has burned a lot of bridges up to this point in his presidency and has turned on most of his cabinet members before throwing them under the bus.

What will his next stunt include?
Funny how Republicans excoriated Kerry when he said he was against the war before he was for it, yet Trump's head spinning reversals that happen in the same sentence do not even rate a comment from today's Republicans.
