Ugh! Even most conservatives I know call these guys' acts to be in poor taste. Even most 1980s white college students in the South would've agreed (although in fairness, I have to say that tracking down those stories and such was a lot harder in the 80s, unless you were a professional journalist. Plus w/o social media, word of it was a lot harder to get out).

If they gathered on behalf of the fraternity, then the fraternity should kick them out.

Same with other kids (and they have the mentality of elementary school kids at best) who think it's cool or cute to do pranks that cause a lot of anxiety to others. In fact, they use "just a joke', "no sense of humor" as a rhetorical shield to deflect accountability away from themselves and onto the offended person. It's as if they get a "charge" from putting such people in distress. Anybody who thinks causing distress to others is humorous is one warped individual.

Great post! Warped and mentally ill in my opinion.

So free speech is fine until it offends *you*, right? Maybe you just need to get your feels under control.
There is free speech. And there is hate speech. It is sad if you do not know the difference.

Hate speech, no matter what political party does it, is always bad. Surely we can all agree on that.

And any speech you or other progressives don't like is "hate speech", right? Calling illegal aliens, illegal aliens is hate speech. Holding minorities accountable for their own problems is hate speech. Wanting to protect legal gun rights for the law abiding his hate speech.

The First Amendment protects speech that we don't like, not just speech in which we agree. The concept of hate speech is TOTALITARIAN OPPRESSION, and Tyranny.

Poor choice? Hell yeah.

Investigation? Hell no.

They should face a bunch of negs online, because free speech is free speech. Hopefully they’ll feel bad about it, and the world moves on.

The definition of what hate speech is, is the tripping point.

Identity politics place this uncomfortably close to free speech, if not over the line.

Why do you think they took that picture? What were they trying to convey?

No, hate speech is free speech. The First Amendment is essentially there to protect against government efforts to regulate "hate speech" or similarly disfavored speech. If hate speech was exempted from First Amendment protection, the Westboro Baptist Church would have lost their case before the Supreme Court.

You can't get more "Right" then those orgs.

The question posed here was why the Right won't glorify and employ these Patriots, being as they dedicated a day to the same type of Actions.
Did any of those who toppled statues ever get charged with anything? We DO have videos of them doing it.
