It is sort of like the boy who won the girls wrestling championship in Texas. At a certain point common sense needs to prevail. Unfortunately we see another example of PC ruining everything.
PC has made what is essentially the equivalent of doping....or worse, socially acceptable in the world of sports.
So:
Women taking performance enhancing drugs, hormones etc to make them perform more like a man is bad.
But men claiming to be a woman in order to unfairly compete with women is just fine.
Just another example of the upside down world we're living in.
Laurel Hubbard is a New Zealander, and New Zealand has no objections to her competition.
Neither does the Olympic committee, apparently.
So other female weightlifters have to take the competition as it is if they have any hopes for an Olympic medal.
We Americans can complain about it, but that's all we, or anyone else, can do.
Or we can go out and recruit a few Laurel Hubbards of our own. That would be one way to stay competitive.
Who cares anymore…. So let men dominate women sports.
The only way people pay attention to anything is when it directly affect them. So in the end, it’s biological women that will be losing out on Olympic gold, silver and bronze.
laurel hubbard was born a man and was into weightlifting without much success. However, in her 30s she transitioned to being a woman and now at 41 is dominating women's weightlifting competitions. She just won 2 golds and a silver medal in her 3 events including beating out the strongest woman from the most recent commonwealth games.
An organization called "speak up for women" is arguing that people born as men should not be allowed to compete as women, while others are saying that speak up for women is being discriminatory and hurtful.
Should laurel hubbard be allowed to compete in the olympics with the women?
It's pretty simple: Regardless of what you do to the rest of your body, if you have a wee-wee, you compete with the women.
If you have a pee-pee, you compete with the men.
With that being said, I imagine most of the women athletes are pretty 'woke,' so let them eat it.
Women train their whole life to compete with other women. Then they have to compete with Ms Testosterone. It's just WRONG!!!!
Precisely! Girls start training by age 8 or 9, if not earlier, for an Olympics that will be 15 years out. They wake up before school for an hour in a gym, and then hit the gym AGAIN after school - year in and year out.
Then, a man enters the competition, and throws all their dedication and time and effort out the window.
