Average on death row is 10+ years... a lot of them are on death row for 25.
The one thing a death row inmate can count on in Texas is that their time is eventually going to come. There is no question about his innocence so I’d say his time will come about 8 years from sentencing. And that’s only assuming he’ll be sentenced to death row. He may get life without parole instead. Either way, he’s never coming out of prison again.
Sounds like he might lean right on some topics and left on others.
Hint. It isn't an all or nothing game.
There are left leaning posters on this very forum who also agree with fiscal conservatives. There are right leaning independents like me that want single payer health care, cutting defense spending, and investment in education to include trade schools.
This whack job that shot up a Walmart is all over the board.
One head says "See that, we all need guns so that we can be safe."
The other Head says " See that we need to ban gun so that we can be safe."
Our elected reps love a good tragedy. It took Rahm Emanuel to fess it up.
The solution? Start by Registering all fire arms and transactions. No more private sales. No more private gifting. Shrinks must report questionable patients. Background checks to include the Shrink data base.
I like the last idea about shrinks having a duty to report to the data base. I know someone who is a paranoid schizophrenic and he’d pass a background check since he’s never been convicted. His mother makes sure he never has access to guns, but she won’t be around forever. I don’t think he’d ever do something like this. The most likely thing would be him committing suicide by cop if he ever got a gun.
