Former ESPN host Jemele Hill -- now a staff writer for The Atlantic -- argues in her controversial first article for the magazine that black college athletes should leave predominantly white schools.

The article, titled, "It's Time for Black Athletes to Leave White Colleges," has drawn a range of responses -- including assertions that Hill is "pro-segregation" or even "racist."

If someone said Black people should spend more money in their communities in order to grow their communities' wealth and make them better places to live, would that be racist?

And you are the one deflecting.

That makes no sense when the "left" is composed mostly of "whites". They more than likely are accusing the "white right".

Naw...more like when people use the term "white" they are talking about the "collective" and not an"y particular individual. No different than when people in another country use the term "Americans". No person who is intelligent would assume another intelligent person thinks such terms mean "All", especially in light of plenty of evidence to the contrary. "Americans chose Trump as their next President". Does that mean, to an intelligent person, that every American who voted did so for Trump? No. You would never even consider such an absurd thought....because you assume people in other countries making the statement know dam well that there were Americans who voted against. However, say "whites" and all of a sudden people WANT to interpret it as a claim that ALL WHITES are guilty of something. It's BS. You and everyone else know dam well that no one is claiming ALL WHITES when they say "whites", but you just want to deflect from the truth being spoken and put the speaker on the defensive by trying to discredit them.

Again, inequalities CANNOT be resolved through equal treatment. Equal treatment would have prevented the inequalities....but it cannot help undo what has already been done.....just mitigate it getting worse. Inequalities can ONLY be resolved through discrimination.

Your logic definitely makes sense!

However, there are those who will refuse to acknowledge it due primarily to the privilege that has been obtained due to the past discrimination and virulent prejudice against black people.

The wealth that was initially obtained has now become inter-generational wealth. The racist institutions have now become entrenched and fosters the continuation of the wealth. The cycle continues...

Racists know this and understand this!

Racism exists but will not stop a person from being successful! If it means that a person has to work harder, then so be it! If it means that a person has to outread others, then so be it! If it means that a person has to sacrifice, then sacrifice!

Continually attempting to inform racists about their racism is really a fruitless exercise and frankly a waste of time!

Depending on the context and how you word it, it could become racist even if another Black person said it.

Would it be racist if if someone said white people should do the same? The answer to that is your answer.

At least you admit it. Most of the Left doesn't have the stones to admit it, but I will give you credit, you do.

And it's exactly why this country will never see peace.
