If you believe that (and I've seen others who think Biden is trying to starve our babies on this forum) then there's no common ground with the mainstream, and no room for a discussion on solutions and strategies.
It is a fact that Biden is destroying the country. Is it intentional? I'd like to think not, but as he continues to refuse to do anything to address catastrophe after catastrophe, the more it appears intentional.

This is what people voted for and they are getting it good and hard.
I'm middle of the road, and I'm also anxious for a time when Biden isn't president, he's a buffoon, even if that means it's DeSantis or Abbott who takes over.
But I don't believe a sitting president is responsible for the stock market after a global pandemic, nor is he trying to starve babies on purpose.
And I don't believe in getting all giddy with pleasure when the stock market swoops downward, just so I have something to complain about with glee.
And I don't believe all the doom and gloom that America is circling the drain.
Pondy and Clara will tell you to buy buy buy, because they are looking for even greater fools. But the reality is, there is no greater fool than what has been installed in the white house. Who would put money on that leading to anything good???
I'm sorry but I'm keeping my money, gold and silver and working on my garden this summer until I feel comfortable that normalcy has returned to this country. Joe Biden doesn't work for me and he is destroying my parent's retirement. Thanks alot demo-rats. You're really good at destroying stuff, but when it comes to building anything of worth that's none pornographic or totally debauched, you are worthless.

I don't know what you're reading, my friend.
I'm certainly not saying buy.
I'm saying grit your teeth and hold on, this is bumpy. Hope for better days, and see positives where they exist.
I'm in the stock market for the long haul, and it's worked out QUITE well. Despite the crash of 1987, and the difficulties of 2008, we held on. And it can be bumpy.
But don't put words in my mouth, andy.
Take heart. Your parents are in the position they were in last year, so there's that. Your parents have lost the SIGNIFICANT gains that happened under Biden last year. But they're back to Trump gains now. Which is a lot of gain.
By comparison, are those Americans living in houses 2X the size of previous generations?
You have to factor in, that middle America grew up in houses that were 3/1 or 3/2, and much more modest than what middle America aspires to (read, insists on as a need).
Meanwhile, we are paying less for food and clothing than ever before - for those who are budget minded and are trying to purchase necessities.

It sounds like your home is lovely.
But no, your home, when it was built, was NOT standard working middle class when it was built in the height of the Great Depression. At all. 3 bathrooms in a single family home? Don't think so. This was a VERY elite home, and somehow, you are unaware, for the time.
I posted a graph of food prices from 1890 and how they've gone down every decade, so maybe refer to that? Before the last 6 months, food is cheaper than it ever was, and we are certainly not at 82% inflation, which would make prices comparable to before.
I don't know where you live, BTW, but London Broil isn't a "staple". I specifically said staples. And I don't pay anything like 8 bucks for that butter. More like $5. And I'm not quite sure what kind of coffee you're buying for that price, but it certainly isn't a "staple" price. For coffee here, expect to pay about 2.75 per pound of mainstream (not elite) brands of coffee.
No, in the last 6 months food has hit inflation, that's very true.
Before this very recent inflation, food prices have gone down and down for decades.
In real dollars, what americans paid for food in the 20th century was much more than we pay now, for staple goods.
Luxury foods and eating out is a different story.
Edited to add:
Here's a graphic, from 2008, comparing food prices in the early 1900's through 2008. I had no idea, when I posted this, how INCREDIBLY dramatically food prices had fallen. 82%.
