Gorsuch and Kavanaugh implied in their confirmation interviews and hearings that Roe vs Wade was settled law and precedent. They went against their own words. This is a clear sign that they that lack any honor and integrity. They tarnish the court as does Thomas who refuses to recuse himself from cases that involve his wife. This court has no moral authority with jurists such as these.

Either way, I think this is an idiotic move. Republicans were more than likely going to clean house in November and now with this ruling, swing voters will come out in droves and certainly won't be voting Republican.
A lot of us on this forum remember those days too. It was a scary time to be a young adult woman.

News flash: Men don't have a right to an abortion, either.
Did you really write that? Even for you that is a pretty bad joke.

It is ironic that you would say it was "implied", as with this Supreme Court ruling, something that is "implied" does not make it fact...

Justices Barrett, Kavanaugh, and Gorsuch did not explicitly state they would vote to overturn Roe V Wade... So, they did not go "against their words".

Clarence Thomas is itching to take on the next cases for possible overturning, and went on record yesterday about it:

- Contraception

- Same sex unions

This is going to get real interesting.

The Carnal Crisscross and The Crossed Keys is just two ways that I know of that you can still get pregnant with your legs crossed.

Funny, wasn't slavery settled law? 2nd amendment? You liberals crack me up, the only time you want to change law is when you agree.

Calling a precedent “settled” means only that it exists and says absolutely nothing about whether it could, or should, be unsettled.

No Supreme Court Justice during confirmation will say how they would vote in future cases just to get votes from the Senators. That would be unethical and banana republic cr@p.

I take it you think schools should still be segregated and blacks treated as second-class citizens, right? Or, does precedence only matter when you agree with it?

Reality has a way of reasserting itself throughout history.

In my opinion, Brown versus Board of Education is the real holy grail of the modern Supreme Court.

But even that isn’t safe from being overturned. Schools in the United States are more segregated now than they have been in decades.

No it does not have to take years.

Anyone can travel to NYC and get an abortion any time up to going into labor.
How long will it take to get an appointment in NYC? How many extra patients can they handle? It will take time for the sane states to gear up new facilities.
