My wife works for a Walmart in Albuquerque and has not been told how to vote. I asked her this morning. However if Walmart is ever unionized, it appears that she may not only be told who to vote for but will also pay part of her paycheck to support the union's choice.
My wife and family know how to vote without someone telling them and it certainly isn't for a Robin-the-Hood socialist.
Unions can no longer spend contributions from member dues. However, they will ask if you want to donate on behalf of the Unions choice. I declined. My dues do not go to any candidates, another myth busted.
But, the FACTS ARE - there are MANY WalMart employees working for $8.00 / $9.00 an hour - this is a FACT.
And what wrong with a livable wage? $12x40=480-taxes,ss,medi=$400-420 week+ health care, 2 weeks vacation, and 11 holidays with 2 personnel days 7 sick days and birthday? This is bare minimum in this society, still the working poor though.

This is not the point. No employer is in any way obligated to provide you with a "livable" wage (subjective anyway) - or sick days, or days off or vacations -
And, the FACT remains - there are many who GLADLY, and VOLUNTARILY working at WalMart for $8.00 / $9.00 an hour.

Facts - not emotion
I guess when Wal-Mart came to town and all the various mom and pop stores had to close, the people had to work somewhere. I'm sure there is not 1 worker in this whole country that wants to work for under $12/hour
Sure it happens. Especially in communities like mine where jobs are incredibly scarce.
Here, jobs are not scare - and WalMart has no shortage of applicants -
Keep in mind that MANY WalMart employees are "unskilled" labor - many are high school dropouts
