I'd support adoption reform as well to make that a more viable option in the case of an unwanted pregnancy.
There's little need for that. People fight over newborns. The problem is that no woman should be forced to be a surrogate parent for someone else. As you said, it's an unwanted pregnancy. Adoption doesn't change that.

Actually we are. This thread is about whether contraception is abortion (or it's supposed to be). The answer? No...in fact it can help reduce/prevent the need for abortions. 98% of Americans would say that contraception is not abortion. That's settled. Abortion in general is to be discussed on the thread titled "Abortion."

I suppose one could say that it's one more step in being people not minding their own business, and scaring the h*ll out of anyone who tries to be responsible for their own personal reproductive decisions. This is where critical thinking skills apply.
How many men has Viagra killed? Many. Drugs have side effects. Any adult who is even remotely literate should be able to educate themselves as to the risks and benefits of taking the pill and therefore, decide for themselves. It's also used to treat endometriosis and other related maladies. Do we hear anything about that? I think not.
