Her case raises a lot of issues. She is a piece of work. However, was she and her victims the result of the same type of institutional failure that gave us the Virgina Tech killer? Fort Hood Killer?
There are these institutions, police, counselors, professionals that are charged with doing a job for the betterment of society. They are trained, paid, selected for their skills, yet they fail miserably.
The Huntsville, Fort Hood, Virgina Tech Killers were similar in that they were in the academic class/track. Had they been street kids and dirt poor, would the intitutions have been so willing to look the other way? A Class bias? How does it get this far? She shot her brother (check out the background sory" and then she is linked to a bomb? How did she ever get on campus?
