Why should the mayor meet with him. He publicly singles out his city for ridicule. If Obama wants to lecture people on spending he should start with Congress and his own administration in the White House. Both the legislature and the excutive branches are acting like the French monarchy just before the revolution. Feasting and spending a fortune while increasing taxes on the population as they starve in the streets.
Maybe the mayor is just following Obama's lead...didn't the Prez refuse to meet with Fox News (and only Fox News) on "Obama Sunday" a few months back because they were picking on him? Why yes, I believe he did. So I'm sure Obama understands this particular brand of "whine".
So let me get this straight....everyone who goes to Vegas is spending the mortgage or the college fund.
Neither the president, or I said everyone.
"......when times are tough, you tighten your belts......you don't go buying a boat when you can barely pay your mortgage......you don't blow a bunch of cash in Vegas when you're trying to save for college..........”
If times are not tough for you, freely go and blow your cash, in Vegas, Reno or even Detroit.
there is a HIGH possibility that the State of Nevada will re-institute the State Income Tax within the next few years.
We're already on the fence about a move to Wyoming in the next 1-2 years. If NV does that, they're guaranteed to lose at least six residents because of it, and I'm sure we're not the only one's that'd go. Texas and Florida also have no income tax, as well as Wyoming and a few others, and retirees don't need to worry about the job market where they choose to live...
