That's just wonderful.

At one time, Funjet Vacations sent more people there than anywhere else.
Las Vegas offers cheap hotels... cheap entertainment,... cheap airfares... and food... all because they want people to come there and gamble.

I hope your friends know that they are still perfectly free to go there anytime they want to.

No one's forcing them to stay home!

You're preaching to the choir here. My husband and I go to Vegas at least 4 times a year. We have for the last 15 years. We gamble by choice. It really is nobody's business if we spent our children's college fund or bought a boat.

That's your choice...

Personally, I've never sat foot in a casino and I'll never go to Las Vegas.

I really don't care how "cheap" it is.

Could you pass your sentiment on to the POTUS please? He seems to care even though it's none of his business. At least you are reasonable enough not to scold me for being irresponsible with my money.

Obama has been a disaster. He's even more inept and ineffective than even I thought he'd be. Heck, I'd have rather had Mike Huckabee as POTUS than Nobama.

Gambling has ruined many American's lives.

Gambling hurts entire families.

It's usually the people who can least afford to gamble whose lives and families are destroyed by it.

I feel pretty certain that his motives were pure.

Have a nice night...

WC out

Good night WC. I agree that gambling has been the ruin of many families along with alcohol, drugs, mental illness and so and so forth. It is not the government's job to protect people from themselves. I don't think his motives were pure. He singled out Las Vegas for the third time.

Then why don't we just sell alcohol and drugs to whoever wants it anytime and at any age?

Obviously, the government's job is to protect people from themselves....

If the government's job wasn't to protect us from ourselves and people who want to take away our possessions,
there would be no police... no rules.. we would have no laws, no courts, no judges....

but,... I'm really tired and I'm going to sign off now.

Have a nice night!

I think you must be very tired because what you reference is a police state.
