I would find it hilarious to see Texas secede from the United States and then have to start taxing people and businesses in their borders. It would be a funny irony to watch all those businesses run away under new tax burdens since for every dollar residents of Texas pay in federal income tax the united states government gives Texas back something like 95 cents to fund the state's operations.

No, you will just be punished if you do not comply. Kind of like the rest of the laws that you are not forced to follow but punished if you do not.

Certainly intimidation and would qualify as force. You silly Obamabot.

Not to mention, no more Federal funds for hurricane damage relief. Don't want none of that socialist stuff!

But you dont have to buy it. The other posters were claiming you're forced to buy insurance -- you're not.
You are forced to buy it or face legal action. Surely you are not so in the Obama bag that this doesn't get through to you. Free choice, no punishment. Go against the Obama plan, there is punishment.

Even liberals should be able to undertand thais concept and stop lying about it.

This is far from accurate. The bill just makes a new tax which people who purchase health insurance will be exempted from. It does not, however, give the government the ability to take legal action against you unless you opt not to pay your taxes, then it's not legal action against you for not buying health insurance it's legal action for tax evasion which is already illegal. The constitution gives congress the right to levy taxes, and congress has long been exercising the right to exempt people from certain taxes for certain reasons. This isn't much different from that.

Are you now claiming that the IRS is not a government run and controled entity? You are still penalized for not complying so your argument just falls apart. As usual.

You should not attempt deflection like this. First, it has nothing in common with the topic. That leads to it being off topic. Naughty.

Let's see. If you buy it you claim that you get a tax exemption.

If you do not buy it, yu pay more taxes.

If you do not pay the more taxes, you go to jail or lose your property.

Yep, no punishment from the government for not mildly going along with a forced payment to remain free.

Got it.

Your comparison of the consequences of Obamacare run parallel to how Romneys health care plan is run in MA. Break down how that is off topic.
