I also agree with those who come up with Jim Schwartz. I couldn't stand Schwartz when he was HC for Detroit. Lions were talented but they were also undisciplined under him. He also seemed to scream at officials once in a while.
Philbon is a great offensive coordinator but he's a horrible head coach. Plus Vikings fans would say Les Steckel. I will also add Brad Childress and Lesley Frazier.

6 consecutive seasons without playoffs including all 4 with Rams. Rams keep getting great players in the draft yet can't even sniff the playoffs. He needs to go.
Ray Handley was terrible and often flew into a rage during interviews for no reason. Was so happy when the Giants finally fired that idiot.
Bobby Petrino was so awful he quit 13 games in to his rookie season as Falcons coach without even telling his players face to face. Absolute coward.

9 out of Jeff Fisher's 21 seasons as a coach, he has had a below .500 record , and looks like this season will be his 10th. Wow I like Jeff Fisher but he should never get another head coaching job once he gets fired from the Rams.
Petrino is horrible. I don't see how he continues to get head coaching gigs.

I never even thought of Fischer. The reason why Petrino left is due to Michael Vick's inprisonment for dog fighting. Petrino is also one of those great college coaches that did not have success in the NFL.
Josh McDaniels was terrible for Denver. He spent two years there after being the offensive coordinator for Bill Belichick in New England before being fired by the Boncos after 2010. I will add other coaches that haven't been mentioned: Joe Bugel, June Jones, Philip Handler, Hank Bullough, Ray Perkins, Dennis Erickson, Bert Bell, Bruce Coslet, Walt Kiesling, Frank Gansz, Ted Marchibroda, Dave Campo, Bob Waterfield, Chris Palmer, Harland Svare, Bob Callahan, Phil Bengtson (who coached the Packers in the late 1960s for two seasons), Marion Campbell, Rich Brooks, Abe Gibron, Richie Petitbon, Mike Riley, Jim Dooley, George Seifert, Romeo Crennel, Dom Capers (though he may be a great defensive coordinator for the Packers), Dave Shula (only famous for being Don Shula's son), and Lane Kiffin.

Jeff Fisher & Marvin Lewis. Look up "mediocre head coaches" in Websters and you'll see them standing side-by-side in a picture.
Lewis: 12 (13??) seasons, and not 1 single playoff win. That's actually pretty hard to do.
Fisher: Outside of that run in 99 where he fell a yard and a half short of winning the Super Bowl, I think he's made the playoffs only 4 or 5 other times in his 20 years in the league. Ridiculous how these guys are still employed while John Fox gets fired after 2 straight 13-3 seasons, a 12-4 season, and an 8-8 season where they won a playoff game despite starting Tim Tebow the final 12 games of that season.
