Only prime time game of the season tonight against the Bucs. Definitely winnable but we need to be on, especially on D.

Half hour delay, must be a dousy of a lightning storm! The NFL is doing the right thing by waiting the storm out, I've been near people who got hit by lightning. Scary stuff!

add---looks like they will be ready in ten minutes or so.

Hate to say it, Cam didn’t do a thing right last night, including his post game outfit. On a serious note, I think it is about that time to wonder whether it is time to start fresh. If we cut Cam after the season, we get $19 million of cap room. Definitely something to think about if we we end up getting a high pick in the next draft. I think if that happens, we do it without Ron and Norv on the staff.

Newton is done. The guy showed up to a press conference in a chick outfit. His play on the field definitely matches the outfit.

IIRC, Newton has had surgery twice on his throwing arm in the last few seasons. Last night sure was painful for him as he threw 26 incompletions, going 24 for 50. The running game was only 39 yards, mostly McCaffrey. No picks, but a lot of bad throws.

One more thing, Daryl Williams at Left Tackle was a bad idea. The guy is a Right Tackle at best. I even remember when we selected him in the draft, haircut Kiper said Right Tackle only. Put Greg Little in when he gets healthy and move Daryl inside to Guard.

What is up with Cam? Has he left the building or something? He came into the NFL with a lot of promise, but seems to be going downhill. Either his body is much worse than anybody is telling us, or his passion is simply gone. And that post game outfit was pathetic.

It very easily could be both. I think the confidence in his arm got beaten right out of him last year. He has taken a beating from years of not having a consistent line in front of him. Essentially he is a more polarizing player in Andrew Luck’s situation. His saving grace was always his legs. Probably a little to do with Norv and a lot to do with injury, that is out of his gameplan for now.

This season is looking similar to that 2010 season. The similarities are striking. Head Coach in his 9th season? Check. Missed the playoffs the season before? Check. QB issues? Check, although Newton is better than Matt Moore/Jimmy Clausen.

They should finish better than that team did (2-14 IIRC), but expect a lot of roster and coaching turnover this off-season.

I picked CAR two weeks in a row. Very disappointing picks as it ends up. Now I will pick against them, and they probably will win. But then again it is a weak Arizona team on their field. 0-3? Possible.

NFC West suddenly looks like the best division in football, with 3 teams at 2-0, but it is still very early.
