The access sucks, signage is horrible from 55 and non-existent from High House - it's really quite simple. If the town would allow a couple improvements to be made that would be a fine spot for a traditional retail play. Agreed Big Lots is better than the ICE station, or any office environment for that matter.

I think it would be an ideal location for an Ice Rink. It would be big enough for two ice surfaces etc..

It's not really the type of neighborhood Big Lots and Dollar General usually like to put themselves in. I do hope something goes in there though. At the very least I feel bad for the other business owners there.

Seems pretty clear to me:

"In a press release issued Tuesday, regional GSA administrator Shyam Reddy announced that the agency had cancelled its consideration of the Kroger building and all other sites proposed for the facility. None of the current proposals, which were due June 2010, met the agency’s requirements, according to the release."

Default An Apology from GSA? wow...

Federal official apologizes over Cary office search - Crime/Safety - NewsObserver.com

It was a messed up idea from the get-go, but an out-and-out apology?
