Unless you live in the original grid layout, everywhere was sprawl at one time, even Oakwood.
Even though I am close to it, I am not in the original grid and I recognize the error of my ways. When I bought my house six years ago, I just didn't know any better.
Getting excited about another chain restaurant opening is tough for me to understand. Chain restaurants do fit in well with the mentality that embraces the construction of endless strip malls and sprawldivisions though.
Read on the triangle business journal that a Lime Fresh Mexican Grill location will be opening here in the Fall as well. They are a Miami-based Mexican restaurant with currently 11 locations. They are opening three in the Triangle. Ninth St in Durham, Brier Creek in Raleigh and Park West Village in Morrisville.
Charlton Dude? It is more than just food. It is more about living an unsustainable suburban lifestyle.

Looks like you have included the obligatory gen Y terminology. How about we all just live our own lives, try to be non-judgmental and do the best we can?

Well, I for one don't think this project is an example of doing the "best we can". Have we really set the bar this low? Sad.

Aren't there already three Mexican restaurants on Ninth Street? Are tacos the new pizza of college campuses?

I remember when there was about 15-20 mexican places in Chapel Hill/Carrboro alone. Its been a college staple for a long time.
At least the Mexican places on 9th are unique and not the typical #10 is 2 tacos w/ rice and beans type place.....
Cosmic Cantina, Blue Corn Grill and Chubbys tacos... all good for what they do.
I cant see getting excited of the same chain restaurants you could drive another 10 minutes and be at a different one.
