Become a cheap second run theater like Blue Ridge? .
This is what I'm hoping for. Most movies are meh at best these days and I have a hard time justifying paying full price to see them in theaters. If Park Place 16 becomes a $1 theater or whatever they charge these days, I'd go a lot more often.

Will it close? Become a cheap second run theater like Blue Ridge? Do something else to carve a niche like turn into a dine-in outfit? I'll probably keep going to Park Place as long as it's open. Something about newer theaters just bothers me. They seem more expensive and there are too many teens running around being... well, teens.
Carmike will have to do something there.
The seats are worn out and a new theater will take the retail moviegoers, I think.

I'm hoping for a 2nd run cheapo venue.

Yeah I imagine they will never be able to compete with a new theater with real stadium seats. (Park Place had to be one of the last old school theaters Carmikeis built and it was later converted to stadium, but it is not very steep )

Does anyone know what those random buildings in the middle of the theater parking lot are going to be? It seems like a terrible idea to put stores in the middle of a theater parking lot. Parking will be a nightmare.

Thanks! With the apartment complex and other places going in there I still feel like parking will be hard to come by. I have a tough enough time getting a spot at PetSmart right now.

I was there the other day and there were a couple of names I didn't recognize on the under Constuction buildings in front of the theater. Seemes like they have a replacement for McAllisters already. I've eaten at the N Hills one and it was good but nothing special.

Really I love McAlisters-the other locations are too far.
