I have purchased 7 vehicles from Fred Anderson Toyota over the years. I will only deal with Carl Anderson, who is one of their internet sales guys. If you see a car you like online, click to contact internet sales and then tell them you will only deal with Carl. He is honest and fair.
At one time, Mark Jacobson offered me a lower price on a vehicle, so I drove out to take a look at it. Suddenly they didn't have that specific vehicle, but would order it for me if I gave them a $500 deposit. Then the sales guy stopped returning my calls (never charged my card, though) because he couldn't find the specific vehicle I wanted.
I went back to Carl and he beat the price from Mark Jacobson and we had a done deal in an hour or two. Best thing (besides his honesty) is that all the negotiations are done via email so I don't have to waste a day going through all that stuff. I know what I want and what I am willing to pay and know what I want for my trade in. Never had an issue with Carl.
I live 4 hours away now, but when I am ready for a new Toyota, I will be contacting him again.
I’d try checking Truecar.com and also, just email the various dealers and see what they can do. The internet department is usually much easier to deal with and you can get 80% of the deal done before you get there.
Bought a 2017 Camry in February from Fred Anderson no problems decent deal no high pressure stuff. Finance guy will try to upsell some stuff but it's up to you to say yea or nay. I have had no experience with Jacobson but the commercials and the NY thing just turn me off.

Wow, thanks. Definitely looking to do everything online so I'm not at the car dealership when the sun is going down. I would never walk on a lot cold. Wait, SEVEN cars from Fred Anderson??! Impressive....

For me it's Carl, not the dealership. Yes, between my husband and me, we've purchased 7 Toyotas from them. We always joke that we should get a volume discount!
I also had a very good experience with Carl at Fred Anderson Toyota. Also had a great experience at Fred Anderson Nissan for the Maxima that I bought for my wife last year. As mentioned above, be knowledgeable about pricing and options.
So sorry about your accident. My husband was recently in an accident ( a dodo was speeding, lost control and ran him off the road). My husband was fine but the car was totaled. The internet was a great resource. If possible, arrange your loan with your credit union or bank, that leaves you more room for negotiation. Research factory recalls, even for new models. You can enter the VIN# of the car to check its status. Good luck!
Meh. I could hook the OP up if he would consider a Ford.
But, "Honda/Toyota Only" so greatly limits the market, the pickings will be slim.
But your Ford may be an import too.
